Pentax announced its second generation of customizable digital camera, the Optio RS1500, that is the successor of the Optio RS1000. The cosmetically customizable camera features a new detachable faceplate PENTAX original system with a no-armed screwless faceplate design and lens ring snap to keep custom skins to a personal choice or design.
The 14-megapixel RS1500 sports a 4x optical zoom with 27.5mm wide angle and a 3-inch LCD display. It has advanced automatic face recognition AF & AE function, the Auto Picture mode automatically selecting the most suitable shooting mode for a given subject or scene, nine digital filters including toy cameras, retro, sepia, and 1280x720p video recording function.
The light comes in credit card format Pentax Optio RS1500 with a choice of 10 included skins and a new, removable lens ring in a choice of two colors. It comes in peral white and silver and is in April 2011 for $ 149.95 (pre-order at Amazon).
