Canon IXUS 1000 HS Camera

Canon IXUS 1000 HS CameraThe Digital IXUS 1000 HS is a device absolutely brilliant, and certainly one of the highlights of the year so far. The 1000 HS IXUS is a successor to the IXUS 300H which was launched earlier this year and takes over the camera as the flagship of the IXUS range. The 1000 HS IXUS uses the same 10-megapixel CMOS high-speed return of the light sensor 300 HS, but replaces the 3.8 x zoom lens with fast f/3.4 flush-folding - f/5.6 10x zoom lens equivalent to 36 - 360mm. Also improved the video recoding mode, which is now full HD 1080p with stereo sound.

The camera body design is derived from that of the 300 IXUS HS, but it is less twisty corners with angular facets, flat panels and fold lines strong. Unlike the 300 HS bottom plate of the camera is flat, wide feet with ample space and sits on a flat surface without falling. It is slightly longer and taller than the 300 order, but it is also slightly thinner, measuring 101.3 x 58.5 x 22.3mm. The objective of folds in the body, and despite its impressive features of the 1000 HS is surprisingly compact and fine. It's a bit heavy for a shirt pocket to about 191g, but it slips easily into a jacket pocket or small purse. The build quality is superb, all-metal body with a solid slider and locking panels with solid metal hinges. This is a great camera research, and is available in three two-tone color combinations, silver / gray, pink / lighter pink or the bronze / brown seen here.
