The Pentax Kr is a new DSLR camera mid-range targeted at family users and digital SLR beginners. The KR combines a compact body and simple layout of Kx cheaper model with some advanced features of prosumer K-7, especially the autofocus system and the LCD. The 12,4 megapixel Pentax Kr has some unique features of its own, including continuous recording the fastest rate of any Pentax DSLR for 6fps, the widest range of ISO (100 - 25600), infrared data transfer and support for AA and lithium-ion battery. Other important elements of Kr include a 11-point of the AF, with the active focusing point in viewfinder, 720p HD movies, high-resolution 3-inch LCD, built-in shake reduction and dust reduction mechanism, dynamic range expansion within the high dynamic range camera, digital filters and a full range of automatic and manual shooting modes.
